Our relationship with Calvary Baptist Church spans nearly 19 years. In our first project for Calvary, we completely renovated the three-story church, including the sanctuary, fellowship hall, kitchen, classrooms, and administrative offices. The scope of work for that project further required the upgrading of all electrical, mechanical, and fire alarm systems and the installation of an energy management system. Finally, we conducted massive asbestos abatement work, removing asbestos from well over half of the building. Throughout this 18-month renovation project, all church services, as well as the services provided by the daily day-care center to over 100 children, continued.
Recently, Amason performed substantial renovations to both Calvary’s main building and its annex. Inside of the main building, we constructed a new choir practice room, a larger choir loft, and relocated the Church’s library. In addition, Sunday School classrooms were remodeled. The exterior walls of the Sanctuary and the Chapel were painted and re-caulked.
In the Spring of 2006, the Calvary Baptist Church Annex sustained tremendous damage from a natural gas explosion and the ensuing fire. We rebuilt most of the exterior walls and totally renovated the interior of this building, which now includes classrooms, restrooms, an assembly room, and a kitchen. We also replaced all of the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. Finally, we were able to correct latent moisture intrusion problems in this building by installing new waterproofing and roof flashing. We are proud of our relationship with Calvary Baptist Church. It is our goal that past clients call on us for all future work.
