Amason was selected by the Cahaba Valley Emergency Management District to serve as the general contractor for the construction of two new area fire stations. The Mt. Laurel Fire Station is a 5,600 square-foot facility that includes two engine bays and offices for the Sheriff’s Department, Station Captain, and Fire Chief. It also houses various living areas, the Chief’s bunkroom, and six dorm rooms. The Narrows Fire Station is a 6,100 square-foot facility that also includes two engine bays and offices for the Sheriff’s Department. In addition, it contains a watch office, various living areas, and six dorm rooms.
