Amason served as the design-build contractor for this 362,000 square foot plant expansion project in Haleyville, Alabama. The project was completed in two phases. In phase I, we totally renovated an adjacent, abandoned manufacturing building to create a 192,000 square foot raw materials receiving, fabricating, warehousing, and sewing facility for our client. Phase II consisted of modernizing the assembly and paint lines of our client’s existing 170,000 square foot facility. Upon completion of phase II, the two buildings were connected by a 2,600 foot chain-conveyor system that was erected over the county road that separated the two plants. This project required one scheduled shutdown, which was completed ahead of schedule.
